Bibliographic Ontology

The Bibliographic Ontology (namespace http://purl.org/ontology/bibo) describe bibliographic things, for example a newpaper article. This ontology can be used as a citation ontology, as a document classification ontology, or simply as a way to describe any kind of document in RDF.

It is described at http://bibliontology.com/ and there are examples on the Bibliographic Ontology Wiki.

Zotero http://www.zotero.org/ and a number of other projects (e.g. dotAC http://www.ecs.soton.ac.uk/research/projects/697) are using bibo.
